Winter Landscape Photography in Yellowstone National Park
LAMAR VALLEY AND BUFFALO RANCH – Yellowstone National Park
Here is an opportunity to photograph the still and quiet beauty of Yellowstone’s Lamar Valley in winter. We will be exploring nature’s patterns of snow and ice in the landscape working with winter’s low raking light. The Lamar is also renowned for its incredible wildlife displays. In this workshop, you will learn to keep your body and equipment functioning in winter conditions working with two seasoned professional photographers. We will have ample class time for discussions on developing personal creativity, honing your digital workflow skills and trading Photoshop techniques. With two instructors, our workshop is limited to 18 participants, but is already filling up!
You will need a digital or film SLR, tripod and working knowledge of photography fundamentals. A laptop is recommended for digital photographers and snow shoes are also required for short forays, from the road into deep snow.
